Manolo Blahnik



Manolo Blahnik was born in the Canary Islands to a Spanish mother and Czech father.  His family was well off, and his mother created her own shoes during the 40s when designer shoes  were scarce during the war.  He learned at his mother's knee, but also studied International Law.  He also studied at the famous Ecole Des Beaux Arts. 

His shoes were really made famous in Sex and the City.  I found these on ebay, for around $36.00 with postage!  There is also a Sunday Morning segment about him. Bargains do exist!!
