Big Lots Halloween 2018 and other Big Lots Bargains, Michaels, Ruby Lane's 50% off Sale!

This is a great video showcasing Big Lots Halloween décor.  The dragon that lights up is just terrific.  However, he's pricey at $80, even though he is very big.  Other animated skeleton animals run from $12 to $40.   The spooky dolls are about 12 inches, and are $20.  The Haunted TV is great, and is $35. Yet, these prices are comparable to Spirit of Halloween and other stores.  I love to collect the skeleton animals, but Big Lots is known for bargains.  These are not.

I did get a good bath towel for $4.  Barbies ran about $10 for the generic doll.   They had fairy garden accessories at 50% off along with other garden things.  I got a little bridge for $2.  It is cute with embellished orange flowers.  I also bought a path of stepping stones for $2.

At the Lasalle Peru Store, IL, I used to find all sorts of bargains, like miniatures at $.35 and under, fifty cent Xmas ornaments, great storage containers, figurines, big, molded scarecrows for under $8.

School supplies are still terrific there; $.17 for two pocket folders, large packs of sharpened pencils for $2.  Nobody beats Dollar Tree, though, for school supplies.  They are also putting out fall and slowly, Halloween.

Michael's has a wonderful fall and Halloween Collection.  I found some Lemax figures at 30% and 40% off, and these are great little minis for the miniature houses or doll houses.

To celebrate its 20th Anniversary, Ruby Lane.com will have a 72 hour 50% of sale, beginning August 17th to August 20th.  Details at Ruby Lane.com.  All thing vintage, fine art, and antique live at RL.

Don't overlook the daily deals at Goodwill, DAV, Discovery Shops and other thrift stores this time of year, either.
